Chris Weidman says Anderson Silva is the best fighter of all time, but he's just a little better

Chris Weidman just created a logistical paradox. If he deems Anderson Silva the best fighter in MMA, then statistically how can he be better? It's impossible to be better than the best. That's the reason why 'best' was invented. If there's something higher than the best, then it would be called the best. On that syntactical confusion alone, Anderson Silva will defeat Chris Weidman at UFC 162. Just from that statement, Weidman now has the entire physical universe against him. For him to believe he can be better than the best is a weid expectation. Yeah, I just thought of that -- and you have to admit it's pretty bad ass. Forget a play on words -- we just had a grammatical school recess.

So as you may have heard over the past year of interviews and statements -- Chris Weidman believes he can defeat Anderson Silva. I guess that would be no different than the other seventeen opponents that came before him. They do have one thing in common, however. They all failed. If Anderson Silva's career was a roulette table and I had $10,000 to drop on a W or L -- my bets going towards the win column for Anderson. History has never led humanity wrong -- unless you're from North Korea. Then you probably think the world is flat and whenever it rains it's just Pak Pong-ju crying over your inferiority.

Check out this clip from the Fight Network of Chris Weidman complimenting Anderson Silva then stating that he will beat him at UFC 162.
