The second night of the 2024 Arnold Classic UK has wrapped up and Hadi Choopan won the Men's Open title.

The first day of the 2024 Arnold Classic UK is in the books and the event was chockfull of impressive physiques and intense pose-downs on Friday, March 15 in Birmingham, England’s NEC. Fans watched in awe as Wellness International, Fitness International, and Classic Physique took to the stage vying for the coveted title and qualification to the 2024 Mr. Olympia. In the headlining act, Hadi Choopan took home another big title! 

The 2024 Arnold Classic UK came just two weeks after Hadi Choopan’s big win at the Arnold Classic Ohio. Choopan brought incredible conditioning along with a masterful posing routine that saw him earn his first Arnold Classic title during his debut at the prestigious event. 

Several top contenders returned for round two inside Birmingham’s NEC which includes Choopan and Samson, who will battle it out in the ‘Nigerian Lions’ backyard. This event is an Olympia qualifier and features seven divisions vying for the gold. During prejudging for the Open class, it was clear fans were in store for another epic showdown between Choopan and Dauda.

Men’s Open 

It was another round of muscle mayhem in the UK. Dauda entered this event having just taken second place to Hadi Choopan in Columbus, Ohio. However, despite parting ways with his coach Milos Sarcev, it was evident Dauda brought his conditioning up. 

Hadi Choopan also displayed a next-level package in the UK, especially in the finals. Even though his visa was accepted last minute, he never let excuses stop him from shining on stage. Choopan just took gold at the 2024 Arnold Classic and intended to replicate the success in Europe. In the end, Hadi Choopan took first place, Samson Dauda finished second, and Akim Williams claimed third.

Classic Physique

Two of Classic Physique’s top contenders, Wesley Vissers and Breon Ansley, once again battled it out on the Arnold Classic UK stage after having just faced off in Ohio two weeks prior. Ansley took home a respectable fourth-place finish while Vissers was the surprise of the night, beating the former Arnold Classic champion Ramon Rocha Queiroz and earning himself the gold

Tonight, Vissers was looking to secure yet another win but Ansley put up a good fight. Ultimately, Wesley Vissers stunning conditioning secured him the win yet again while Breon Ansley followed suit in second place.

Men’s Physique

It was a dogfight between contenders Corey Morris and Diogo Montenegro. Morris recently competed at the 2024 Arnold Classic but found himself in fifth, though presented one of his better looks to date. His muscle fullness appeared to be on another level in the UK. 

Montenegro entered this event brimming with potential as he took gold at the 2024 Arnold Classic in a dominant display. While Montenegro showcased a tight physique and taper, Morris pulled off the upset! Montenegro took second and Vitor Chaves carved out a third-place position.

Bikini International 

It was a thrilling night in the UK with Bikini competitors bringing their absolute best looks to the stage. It was clear during prejudging and finals that Vania Auguste and Tara Grier were gunning for gold. Fans felt the hype behind Grier as she claimed first place at the 2023 Lenda Murray Pro. 

However, the crowd pop from Vania Auguste’s aesthetic physique was tough for judges to ignore. Auguste just took third at the 2024 Arnold Classic Ohio show. In the end, Vania Auguste secured gold! Tara Grier took second and Marie-Eve Duchesneau took third.

Fitness International

In prejudging and finals, it was evident that this would come down to another two-woman battle between reigning Arnold Classic Fitness International Ariel Khadr and Jaclyn Baker. Khadr was riding high off momentum thanks to her commanding victory in Ohio but competitors from the fitness divisions brought the heat in an effort to take her down. 

Most notably, Jaclyn Baker was on a mission to secure gold; she entered this competition as a big favorite thanks to her tight race against Khadr in Ohio. Having just secured runner-up on the sport’s second most important stage, Baker brought an elite look to the UK. Ultimately, Baker pulled off a massive victory which left Ariel Khadr in second place. Michelle Fredua-Mensah claimed third place.

Wellness International

It was a thrilling battle in Birmingham between contenders from the Wellness category. Having boasted next-level lower body definition, it appeared to be a firefight between Juliana Mota and Leonida Ciobu. Mota entered this show after last competing at the 2022 Olympia Wellness event where she placed outside the top 15. 

Opposite to Mota was Ciobu who last impressed fans with a powerful showing at the 2023 Empro Classic Pro contest. Ultimately, it was the shape and taper of Leonida Ciobu that took first place. Mota placed second.
