The Sunday Morning Rumor Mill does not take off for Holidays or even night (Eve) before Holidays. MMA’s 365 days of original programming will not rest for no man or family friendly day of gift exchanging.
MMA’s overall aura, underground roots and cage fighting DNA will not allow it to have a boring week off.
As always these are rumors that have been talked about behind closed doors between MMA higher ups, so take them as MMA rumors.

- Rumor coming out after the UFC made slight adjustments to the Reebok deal payouts, is that the fighters had no idea the changes were coming. New fighters with one to five fights in the UFC will receive a slight increase in Reebok payouts. The noted and rumored changes could have come years ago as Reebok pays the UFC upfront than the promo distributes the money however they see fit.
- Huge if true, but it looks like MMA fighters Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir have put their pro wrestling training on pause. This would delay the Four Horsewomen vs. Four Horsewomen angle the WWE wanted to push and likely means Ronda Rousey would debut as a solo performer if/when she moves over to pro wrestling.
- Turner home to the NBA and a portion of the MLB playoffs has emerged as a major player in the running to secure the UFC’s next TV deal. Rumor has it the UFC and Turner brass have held meetings, with the UFC TV rights being a key piece to the TV group’s plan to make a big push in sports next year.
- Rumor is Rose Namajunas’ next title defense will come against none other than Tecia Torres. UFC officials were impressed with Torres’ win over Michelle Waterson. This may also be another sign that Joanna Jedrzejczyk is done making the cut down to 115 and may move up to flyweight soon.
- The Floyd Mayweather fighting in the UFC crashed and burned before they got off the ground. Rumor is Dana White name dropped Mayweather’s name without even speaking to the retired boxer in order to gain some attention/buzz for UFC 219 and the company in general.
