DC to WWE, UFC 239 PPV buys, and more in the Sunday Morning Rumor Mill

Kind of miss WEC. And Strikeforce. Also Pride. Dream to. At least some new MMA rumors will mend MiddleEasy’s broken heart.

After a mind blowing UFC 239, almost hard to not be numb to a back to back Bellator and UFC weekend. Both cards delivered entertaining fights, but the stakes were not really all there.

As always these are rumors that have been talked about behind closed doors between MMA higher ups, so take them as MMA rumors.

Raise the stakes, grill some steaks, and feed your MMA needs with a brand new Sunday Morning Rumor Mill.

  • Don’t surprised if and when Urijah Faber gets another UFC title shot. The UFC pays Faber a lot of money for his weight class. Faber may not even need another win to earn a crack at Henry Cejudo.
  • Rumors have been circling about top Euro promotion KSW and Bellator getting in bed together. Scott Coker has always been open to co-promotion. As Bellator makes a big push into Europe, KSW would be a great partner to co-promote with.
  • Rumors is none other than Paul Daley may be given a fight in KSW next. Maybe as soon as KSW 50.
  • A rumor from last year that has popped up again, Daniel Cormier to WWE. DC would not sign for an in-ring role, but WWE still wants him at the announce desk. As WWE moves to Fox in October, there interest in DC has heated up.
  • Looks like UFC 239 did great the box office for ESPN and UFC. Rumors point to around 300k buys on ESPN+. This number would be okay in the old days, but on a new streaming service it is a home run.
