Bones’ next fight, Diaz’s return and more in the Sunday Morning Rumor Mill

Sunday Morning Rumor Mill Diaz Bones Jones

You did it and we’re proud of you. Happy Labor Day weekend from the Sunday Morning Rumor Mill.

MMA rumors never take a day off but you have earned yourself a three day weekend. On a Friday, Saturday and Sunday with no UFC, Bellator, Rizin or ONE cards, we were once lost but now we are found. By MMA standards the whole week was quiet, which means the MMA rumor mill had a chance to leak out some news bits that may have fallen between the couch cushions

As always these are rumors that have been talked about behind closed doors between MMA higher ups, so take them as MMA rumors.

Drink up, relax and don’t think about work. Just think about what it all means inside your Sunday Morning Rumor Mill.

  • Another rumor heat check and we think its picking up steam. There are talks that we will know the fate of Jon Jones in just a few weeks time. Things are looking good. As crazy as it sounds Bones may return to the UFC before 2019.
  • With his legal trouble behind him, rumor is the UFC has once again reached out to Nick Diaz. 2019 is a big year for the UFC and they need as many headliners as possible. The latest word is Diaz is growing less interested in taking another fight.
  • Former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez may be fully flexing his free agent potential. Stops in Rizin or Bellator have become front runners to land Alvarez next.
  • Huge if true but it looks like there are still rumors that Brock Lesnar’s advocate/manager in the WWE, Paul Heyman, may now get partnered with Ronda Rousey sooner or later.
