Chael Sonnen issued the latest callout in his ongoing feud with Jorge Masvidal.

Earlier this year, Masvidal sparked a rivalry with Sonnen by calling the latter a ‘cheating f*ck’ during an appearance on The MMA Hour. ‘Gamebred’ also went after the Oregon native with other various slurs and threatened to beat him up in public.

Sonnen has since responded in a mild manner, at least by his standards, before appearing on the Pound 4 Pound podcast with Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo. ‘The American Gangster’ took things to the next level by saying this about Masvidal:

“If I saw Jorge Masvidal, he’s probably have three or four buddies with him, and I’m alone. After a very brief skirmish, they would realize they should have brought more people. That is a very, very bad call.”

Chael Sonnen confirmed he’s ‘on the same steroids’ he took during his fighting career

Chael Sonnen failed multiple drug tests throughout his professional MMA career. He’s also gone on to make jokes about the matter and confess to the wrongdoing. During the previously mentioned podcast appearance, Sonnen confirmed he’s still using steroids while warning Jorge Masvidal about a potential physical encounter:

“If you guys were to discuss this with me out of the room, you are aware I will whip Jorge Masvidal’s a*s. You guys, ‘He got a little older. I don’t think he’s on the same steroids.’ I am on the same steroids, and I will whip his a*s. There’s a reason they weigh people in. I will whip his a*s. There’s not a long-haired man that’s walking the planet that Chael P has to worry about. Keep that in mind.”

Chael Sonnen last fought in June 2019, suffering a second-round knockout loss against Lyoto Machida under the Bellator banner. Since then, the 46-year-old has established a highly successful career as a combat sports content creator and analyst.

Meanwhile, Jorge Masvidal announced his retirement from MMA after Gilbert Burns defeated him by unanimous decision in April 2023.

Less than a year later, Masvidal revealed he is returning to combat sports for a ten-round boxing match against Nate Diaz, which goes down on June 1 inside the KIA Forum in Inglewood, California.
