Nearly five years removed from their iconic clash for the inaugural BMF title, Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz will run it back inside the squared circle this summer.

As revealed by The MMA Hour host Ariel Helwani, ‘Gamebred’ and ‘The Stockton Samurai’ will square off in a 10-round boxing match on June 1, 2024. The bout will emanate from the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, and air exclusively on pay-per-view. The event is being promoted by Fanmio who also promoted the bout between Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather and Logan Paul in 2021.

It will be the second time that Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz go toe-to-toe — the first going down at UFC 244 in November 2019. Stepping inside the Octagon to determine who the promotion’s “baddest motherf*cker” is, Diaz and ‘Gamebred’ delivered an entertaining back-and-forth battle that ultimately saw Masvidal walk away with the win due to a doctor’s stoppage after the third round.

Since that night, Nate Diaz has been chomping at the bit to run it back. In just a few short months, he’ll have that opportunity.

Jorge Masvidal Sends a Word of Warning to Nate Diaz

Discussing their upcoming clash during an appearance on The MMA Hour, Jorge Masvidal sent a word of warning to the TUF alumnus, making it clear that this won’t be some easy-going exhibition bout.

“When the opportunity came for me to unretire and do something like this, I’ve been very motivated,” Masvidal told Helwani. “I’ve been so motivated I’ve just been living in Las Vegas for seven or eight weeks completing my camp out here, doing my boxing training and I want to murder this guy. It’s nothing personal, but I want to beat the f*cking brakes off him. He always said the referee saved me. I don’t think anybody with common sense would agree so I think this fight will put an end to all that bullsh*t.

“I’m gonna be in the best shape of my life and he’s coming off the couch after fighting Jake Paul. If he’s not in shape, I’m gonna make him look bad and get him out of there in two rounds. He knows with me you gotta die every day in the gym to step in that ring and have a fighting chance. I don’t play that sh*t. I’m trying to kill this motherf*cker. He knows that personally. He has the scars to prove it. Get your a** in shape ’cause I’m coming to break your f*cking face.”

The pay-per-view will be available for purchase at Fanmio.com/PPV and Fanmio.com/DiazVsMasvidal. Those who purchase before April 12 will pay the early price of $49.99. After that date, the cost bumps up to $79.99.
