- Nate Diaz seemingly understand Conor McGregor’s situation with the UFC
- “Notorious” is hoping to finally return before the current year ends
Nate Diaz sympathized with Conor McGregor in his disappointment over the delay in his UFC return.
An unexpected comment
Conor McGregor recently spoke about the highly anticipated, frequently postponed return match with Michael Chandler.
According to “Notorious,” the more the fight is delayed, the less enthusiastic he becomes about it and he’s losing motivation to train as well. Surprisingly, Diaz, one of McGregor’s ultimate rivals, voiced his sympathy for the former UFC two-division champ.
This was me for years before Conor even got here they want u to die before u get out these contracts it’s up to u to make something pop no one gonna help you but you

Conor remains hopeful
Despite the delay, McGregor has been vocal about his desire to compete again. In fact, he is eagerly anticipating his return to the UFC before the year concludes.
“I have two fights left on my UFC contract,” McGregor told Talksport. “We’re still in the first quarter of 2024. I’ve got I’ve got this uh workload on me right now because I’ve got the promotion of the movie I’ve got St. Patrick’s festivities with the alcohol after that, it’s a closed door so I get to go in and close the door and you know map my plan and then gym, home, gym, home, gym, home and I hope we get some clarity with a date and I can push towards it. I’m sure we will get something in by year end.”
McGregor hasn’t fought since suffering a horrible leg injury at UFC 264. He has mapped out his plans for this year but UFC president Dana White claims convincing “Notorious” to commit is easier said than done.
