The first Sunday Morning Rumor Mill of 2018 here and it’s out for revenge. The good old rumor mill actually had a great 2017.

Rumors of Conor McGregor going to boxing began the year, Jon Jones drama occupied the middle months while Ronda Rousey to the WWE appears to be leading charge into the next 365 or so days.

As always these are rumors that have been talked about behind closed doors between MMA higher ups, so take them as MMA rumors.

New Year, new rumors to resolute with. The gym will always be there. Before you get your 2018 workout on, warm-up with your Sunday Morning Rumor Mill.

  • Rumors have varied but it looks like Brock Lesnar’s contract with the WWE ends in April after WrestleMania. Reports indicate there is an option to extend Lesnar’s deal into August. Despite his suspension all signs still point to Lesnar wanting at least one more UFC payday.
  • The latest UFC rumors suggest the company is prepping to move on from Conor McGregor as lightweight champion. Rumor is Mystic Mac may soon be stripped of his title and a Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson fight will headline a UFC card in the Spring.
  • Huge if true but early indications appears to suggest Anderson Silva’s latest PED bust will net him a reduced suspension. Silva’s camp knows news that USADA has yet to discover and it looks like the Spider’s time with the UFC is not over yet.
  • In even more MMA to pro wrestling rumors current Bellator heavyweight  Bobby Lashley may sign with the WWE. Lashley being left out of Bellator’s Grand Prix may be the nudge that ends his MMA days.
