Nate Diaz is looking forward to a fight inside the squared circle.

Nate Diaz‘s time with the UFC has come to an end. However, this does not mean that he is finished with combat sports. Following his last fight, a win over Tony Ferguson at UFC 279, Diaz announced it may be time for him to try out a new sport. Many believe that this is a hint that he will be transitioning to boxing. Now he admits that it isn’t so much a transition because he has been boxing since he was a child.

“When I was 17, 18 years old I started to fight, I was in boxing, my boxing coach, and boxers all over my gym and I was gonna box initially, but MMA shows were more around my area and they were happening and so I got sucked in MMA,” he said to iD Boxing on YouTube. “I was stuck in the cage this whole time with contracts and stuff so now everything’s open for the taking. I never stopped training for a boxing fight since I started fighting so when the right opponent when the right thing comes down, we’re gonna take it. “

Diaz grew up in Stockton California and has been fighting professionally since 2004. He came to the UFC in 2007 and has been there ever since. 15 years with the organization have come to a close and now Diaz will finally get his chance to fight inside a boxing ring.

Nate Diaz is interested in the upcoming fight between Jake Paul and Anderson Silva

Over his 15 years with the UFC Nate Diaz has made quite a name for himself. He is one of the most popular fighters on the planet and fans are interested in seeing him. Diaz is undoubtedly looking for a big-money fight when he makes his move to boxing, one of the biggest names that he could be matched up with is Jake Paul. Paul has been making his boxing career by fighting former MMA fighters. He has mentioned Nate Diaz’s name in the past and now he could find himself in the ring with Diaz.

“He is for sure one of the options,” Diaz said on Jake Paul. “He’s got a big fight ahead of him and if he wins that I’m sure people should be really impressed by it. If Anderson does his thing on him, that’s impressive also and now we have a fight n our hands, I’m looking forward to it.”

Whatever is next for Nate Diaz, whether it be boxing Jake Paul or perhaps fighting someone else he is likely to be able to make quite a bit of money in his new venture. Perhaps even a boxing match with Conor McGregor could be in the cards.
