Deontay Wilder Sends A Message To The New Heavyweight King Andy Ruiz Jr. Following His Upset Victory Over Anthony Joshua

Last Saturday (June 1, 2019), Andy Ruiz Jr. shocked the world. Despite he was a major underdog, Ruiz rocked Anthony Joshua two times in the third round. It seems “AJ” couldn’t recover, as he significantly slowed down. The Mexican boxer dethroned English KO artist after a stoppage in the seventh round. The match was held inside Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.

Anthony Joshua’s WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO titles were on the line. After this win, Andy Ruiz Jr. was promoted to the new unified Heavyweight champion.

Deontay Wilder congratulated Andy Ruiz Jr. for his surprising victory over knockout expert Anthony Joshua but also offered advice to the newly crowned unified king. “The Bronze Bomber” wrote the following on his Twitter account.

“A huge congratulations to you Andy Ruiz Jr. for your upset win last night. You’ve been blessed to come out of the struggle and to become the 1st Mexican Heavyweight Champion Ever! Wow, that’s amazing and I’m wishing you many more blessings to come.”

“P.S It’s all up to you in what you do with this huge opportunity. There’s many perks that comes behind it. Blessings.”

Deontay Wilder last stepped inside the ring on May 18, 2019, when he punched the soul out of Dominic Breazeale to retain his WBC heavyweight title. Brutal right hand dropped the challenger, and the referee waved off the contest.

Deontay Wilder is in discussions for Luis Ortiz rematch. But he remains open for the second bout against Tyson Fury too.

So what are your thoughts on Wilder’s message? Would you like to see Deontay Wilder Vs Andy Ruiz Jr. in the future?
