Andy Ruiz Jr. Shocked The World, Turned The Lights Out On Anthony Joshua!

Andy Ruiz Jr. (33-1, 22 KO) and Anthony Joshua (22-1, 21 KO) met last night (Saturday, June 1, 2019). The match was streamed live on DAZN. The two squared off inside Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Ruiz pulled a huge upset – he put WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight kingpin Anthony Joshua to sleep in the seventh round! Despite dangerous KO expert Anthony Joshua entered the bout as a huge -2500 favorite, an underdog sent him to sleep.

The challenger ate a major left hook from Joshua in the third round, which led to a knockdown. But Andy Ruiz Jr. somehow recovered and sent Anthony Joshua to the canvas two times in the same frame!

Ruiz and Joshua were trading shots for the next few rounds, but the seventh round brought one of the greatest surprises ever. After an exchange in the opening minutes, the champion was knocked down.

Another knockdown happened swiftly after a flurry of punches in the center of the ring. Joshua ended up on his knee. But despite the champ got back on his feet, he was wobbled.

The referee waved off the match. Huge victory for Andy Ruiz Jr. Sure thing this was the biggest upset in the recent memory.
