Knockout Artist Deontay Wilder Wants A Piece Of Cuban Heavyweight Luis Ortiz Again!
Only two weeks ago, Deontay Wilder (41-0-1, 40 KOs) ended the title bout versus Dominic Breazeale via the first-round stoppage after brutal right hand to the opponent’s face. Breazeale later claimed the referee waved off the contest too early. Prior to this fight, “The Bronze Bomber” kept the title following a controversial draw against Tyson Fury.
Many believed Wilder was interested in fighting Tyson Fury of Anthony Joshua next. Instead, Deontay Wilder targets another meeting with dangerous Cuban Luis Ortiz.
The two already squared off in a title match on March 3, 2018, in Barclays Center, New York City, New York. Ortiz wobbled “The Bronze Bomber” in round seven, but Wilder miraculously recovered and ended their first bout via TKO.

Mike Coppinger from Boxing Insider claims the match is planned for September 28, 2019.
SOURCES: The heavyweight championship rematch between Deontay Wilder and Luis Ortiz is headed for Showtime PPV on September 28. Wilder announced today that he’s fighting Ortiz again. Wilder knocked out Ortiz in Round 10 when they met in March 2018 in one of best fights of year

Luis Ortiz (31-1-1-2 NCs, 26 KOs) is on a hot streak, with three wins in a row. After Wilder loss, “King Kong” finished Razvan Cojanu and Travis Kaufman via TKO, and earned a unanimous decision win over Christian Hammer.
This looks like an intriguing match. It’s a quick turnaround for both fighters. But it also means Deontay Wilder Vs Anthony Joshua can’t happen before 2020. Please share your thoughts.
