How To Live Stream Bellator 225
Bellator 225: “Mitrione vs. Kharitonov 2” is set to take place tonight (Sat., Aug. 24, 2019) from inside the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut. In the main headliner, heavyweight hard hitter Matt Mitrione and Russian PRIDE fighting legend Sergei Kharitonov will face-off each other for the second time after their first fight ended in 15 seconds with no winner.
Kharitonov holds notable wins over the likes of Fabricio Werdum, Alistair Overeem, Andrei Arlovski and “Big Country” Roy Nelson.
Meanwhile, in the co-headliner, Javy Ayala was expected to meet heavyweight Vitaly Minakov. However, for unknown reasons, he’s out of tonight’s event, then promotion decided to elevate Tim Johnson from prelims bouts to the main card so now Johnson will step in the Octagon to fight the former Bellator heavyweight champion.
Tim was initially scheduled to take on one-time UFC veteran Azunna Anyanwu who’s now off the fight card.
Johnson last suffered a knockout loss to Cheick Kongo last October in his Bellator debut.
