Paige VanZant apparently hasn’t trained in professional wrestling since making her debut for All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Paige VanZant Not Training Pro Wrestling

Former WWE star Gangrel actually trained VanZant before her professional wrestling debut at AEW Double Or Nothing back in May.

Speaking during a recent interview at K&S Wrestlefest, Gangrel talked about training VanZant before her debut, admitting that she didn’t train as much as he’d have liked her to.

However, since the match, he hasn’t trained with her at all. It seems that VanZant is instead more focused on her Bare-Knuckle Boxing career.

“Yes, I did (train VanZant) for a little while there. She did well; she didn’t train as much as I would have liked for her to train, but I haven’t seen her since that match,” Gangrel said.

“She did that match, she wrote me and said, ‘Hey, I’d like to go over the match with you and some critique.’

“And I said, ‘Sure,’ and that’s the last I heard from her. She’s an athlete. She could have been really, really good at it actually.”

At the moment, VanZant seems to be focused on her career with BKFC. She was slated to face Charisa Sigala at BKFC 27 in August in London.

However, that bout was scrapped on short notice. It was later announced that the fight was expected to be rescheduled for BKFC 31 in Denver later this month.

Despite this, VanZant isn’t listed for the card and Sigala has since fought a short-notice losing effort against Britain Hart.

VanZant is 0-2 under the BKFC banner since joining the promotion in 2021.
