- The former PFL champ quickly responded and clapped back at “The Venezuelan Vixen”
Julianna Pena has accused Kayla Harrison of using PEDs and the former PFL champion was quick to respond.
Pena fired shots at Kayla
Speaking to The MMA Hour, “The Venezuelan Vixen” took another jab at Harrison. According to Pena, she almost thought Harrison wouldn’t make it at 135 because she was obviously on PEDS in the past.
“(She looked) great, strong, yeah, stay off the needle, bro,” Pena said of Harrison. “Maybe not now, I mean definitely in the past, absolutely, there’s no question.”
When asked how she could tell that Harrison was using banned substances in the past, Pena linked it to the time the former PFL champ skipped the anti-doping seminar which was held at the recent International Fight Week.
“So, at International Fight Week, we all came inside the rooms for the social media (seminars)… We broke for lunch, the next (seminar) was the anti-doping (seminar), so everyone was there, everyone stayed for the first one. When we came back, everyone stayed for the second one, minus Kayla. She’s the only one that didn’t come back to the anti-doping one,” Pena revealed.
Pena knows Kayla will get the title shot
Despite admittedly disliking Harrison’s swift rise in the UFC, “The Venezuelan Vixen” knows that sooner or later, Kayla will get the title shot.
“These girls have been grinding in the UFC forever, so it’s almost like a respect thing but with that being said, obviously Kayla’s in the mix and she’ll get her chance as well, it’s just a matter of time,” Pena said.

Kayla hit back
Pena’s bold claims did not go unnoticed. Harrison quickly hit back and pointed out that she has been under USADA’s program since 12. Kayla also countered and accused Pena of just making excuses not to fight her.
“I have been tested by USADA since I was 12 years old. You will find every excuse in the world not to fight me. And the only shot in the ass people need around u is anti-nausea medication,” Harrison wrote on X.

Harrison and Pena have been feuding for quite some time now. As it stands, both fighters are at the top of the bantamweight division and it’s a toss-up in terms of who is more deserving of the next title shot.
