Norma Dumont and Chelsea Chandler nearly came to blows in a heated altercation backstage after facing off ahead of UFC on ESPN 49.
Norma Dumont started his professional mixed martial arts career in Sep. 2016. After making a name for herself on the regional scene in Brazil, she joined the UFC in Feb. 2020. Although she dropped her promotional debut to Megan Anderson, Dumont rebounded well and racked up a series of impressive wins over the likes of Felicia Spencer and Aspen Ladd.
Dumont was last seen in action against Karol Rosa at UFC Fight Night 222 three months ago. She managed to come out on top of the judges’ scorecards by unanimous decision to extend her winning run to two.

During the UFC on ESPN 49 face-offs, Norma Dumont and Chelsea Chandler got into a heated altercation. The pair traded verbal jabs backstage as they walked off after an intense stare-down. Dumont appeared to be the aggressor, hurling insults at Chandler who threw up the middle finger and received an equally fiery response back. The two needed to get separated by bystanders as they nearly came to blows.
“If the courage ends quickly, too much conversation,” said Dumont. “Get here. Stay in this face of loose f**king p***y. *Middle finger* I have too. I have one too. It’s Fortnite. You live… tomorrow!”

Dumont will look to hand Chandler her first loss in UFC
Chandler first gained attention for her athletic talent inside the octagon under the Invicta banner in Nov. 2018. Following an unsuccessful debut, she racked up a four-fight win streak before joining the UFC roster in 2022. She got off to a strong start as she scored a quick first-round finish over Julija Stoliarenko in her maiden UFC bout.
As the more experienced UFC athlete, Norma Dumont will look to snap Chandler’s winning run when they clash inside the octagon at UFC on ESPN 49 tomorrow July 15 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
