If part time actor, occasional boxer, and full time legend Mickey Rourke starts hanging out at your local MMA gym nobody is going to ask him to stop. Just give Rourke the keys to the place and let him come and go as he pleases. The star of Hollywood classics “The Wrestler”, “9 1/2 Weeks” and “The Pope of Greenwich Village”, Rourke now likes to chill out at Glendale Fighting Club in California.
Prior to UFC 184, both Ronda Rousey and Jake Ellenberger are training at GFC for their respective bouts versus Cat Cat Zingano and Josh Koscheck. There is a small or very large chance that Rourke bumps into Rousey at GFC and gives her a few boxing pointers. Rousey in return would give Rourke grappling tips and talk the 62 year old’s WrestleMania XXV appearance. (Editor’s note: holy shit Mickey Rourke is 62 years old and he just boxed in Russia?!?!)
Ellenberger even had lunch with Rourke and the two swapped war stories. Rourke could be the next Mike Dolce of MMA dietary advice; he just doesn’t know it yet. Mickey Rourke is a national treasure and he will be in attendance at UFC 184 to cheer on his fellow prize fighters.
