Interview: 64-year old Mickey Rourke says he’s in talks with Oscar De La Hoya for another boxing match

Mickey Rourke is boxing. The funny thing about boxing is Hollywood actor turned pro Philip Andre “Mickey” Rourke Jr fighting in 2017 would not be the craziest sweet science story of 2017.

A 0-0 MMA turned boxer was just licensed and headlined the biggest boxing event in history. This is the boxing reality we now occupy. So when the 64-year-old Rourke says he’s in talks with Golden Boy Promotions to have a fight in California, you know what? That makes sense.

100% a thing the California State Athletic Commission might rubber stamp. 100% a thing boxing would try to promote to the public.

Stay awesome Mickey Rourke, stay crazy boxing.
