Video: 17-year MMA vet Joe Riggs blows out his knee with nasty injury

Joe Riggs injury

Damn Joe Riggs. Joe “Diesel” Riggs made his pro MMA debut 15 days after 9-11-2001. Think about that for a second. 17 years ago a young Riggs was winning his first of 48 pro MMA wins.

What were any of us doing 17 years ago? Were some of you not even born yet?

Joe Riggs is pretty indestructible and he’s had at least one MMA fight a year for the past 17.

Today (Jun. 1) in Russia at M-1 Challenge 93, Riggs knee just exploded in the ring. Riggs went down like he shot himself, which one time he actually did.

Self inflicted bullets wound couldn’t keep Riggs down for long, hopefully this horrifying knee injury won’t stop him from fighting in 2019.
