BKFC 24’s main event will be a contest between Lorenzo Hunt and Joe Riggs for the undisputed BKFC light heavyweight title. They didn’t hold back at the ceremonial face-off despite their impending title fight. The event is taking place from inside Pacific Steel and Recycling Four Seasons Arena in Great Falls, Montana on Saturday, April 30th.
Food and props are usually part of ceremonial faceoffs in combat sports. Staff from promotion operations and security are on stage to keep things under control. However, things turned wild at BKFC 24 on Friday evening, when Lorenzo Hunt used a tomato prop to attack former UFC fighter Joe Riggs, the next title challenger.
Things escalated quickly and Hunt was soon separated from Riggs. In retaliation, Riggs called Hunt a “c*nt.” Hunt laughed at the stunt from a distance.
Throughout the years in combat sports, we’ve seen ridiculous things happen at weigh-ins and ceremonial face-offs, but this was a completely different experience. There’s nothing like casually eating a tomato on stage and then mowing your opponent down with it.
On Saturday, Great Falls, Mont., will host the BKFC 24. Following free prelims on the official BKFC YouTube channel, the main event streams on FITE pay-per-view (PPV). The main event of the card will feature Hunt vs. Riggs.
