A long road to Octagon return

It can be recalled that Suarez has long been missed by her fans, having dealt with a series of injuries in recent times which included a number of issues with her neck. The California native was supposed to take on Roxanne Modafferi at UFC 266 but a knee injury she incurred at training camp saw her withdrawing from the card.

Prior to being sidelined since 2019, Suarez’s scored an impressive unanimous decision victory over Nina Nunes at UFC 238.

Suarez rose to prominence by beating some of the best fighters in the UFC strawweight division, including Alexa Grasso and former 115-pound queen champion Carla Esparza. The 32-year-old will hope to improve her flawless MMA record which is currently 8-0.

On the other hand, De La Rosa has gone 2-2-1 in her last five fights in the UFC. Her latest defeat was a unanimous decision lost to Maycee Barber last April at UFC Vegas 52. She has a pro-MMA record of 12-7-1.
