Tatiana Suarez Earns A Decision Win Over Nina Ansaroff!

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is returning to business tonight (Saturday, June 8th, 2019) with UFC 238 Pay-Per-View MMA event live on ESPN+ from inside United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

TUF 23 Strawweight division winner Tatiana Suarez squares off against Taekwondo black belt and Amanda Nunes’ fiancée Nina “The Strina” Ansaroff.

Rob Madrigal is our referee. The match is underway!

Round 1

Suarez secured an early double-leg takedown. Ansaroff defended against the fence, but Tatiana remained strong in the half guard on the top.

Ansaroff tried hard to get up but Suarez quickly scored another takedown. Good ground and pound work by Suarez until the end of the round. 10-9 Suarez.

Round 2

Suarez secured a single leg takedown early on. Ansaroff used a fence to get back on her feet. Another great takedown, Suarez sticks like glue, not letting the rival go.

Nasty ground and pound shots from the half-guard. Ansaroff got up, but Suarez landed a groin shot. It was not an intentional foul. The referee called time but she continued quickly. 10-9 Suarez.

Round 3

Ansaroff stuffed a takedown attempt. We’ve seen a great striking exchange. Ansaroff was pressed against the cage but she escaped well.

Nina did a great job with her movement. Left hook Nina, low kick Suarez. Nasty punches at the end of the round rocked Suarez, but it is a bit too late. 10-9 Ansaroff.

Final Result: Tatiana Suarez def. Nina Ansaroff via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
