Nate Diaz Under Police Investigation For Clay Guida Altercation

Nate Diaz could find himself in serious trouble as he was involved in an altercation with fellow UFC fighter Clay Guida this past Friday, at Combate Americas 20: Mexico vs. USA in Sacramento, Calif.

As per MMAFighting, Guida’s manager John Foscothe reported that UFC veteran filed a police report following the melee. The altercation allegedly erupts when Diaz shoves Guida from behind, sending him into a guardrail and bloodying his lip.

A report by Sacramento sheriff spokesperson Sgt. Shaun Hampton, detectives, are further investigating the incident.

“If it is found the victim was assaulted then a warrant request will be completed and submitted to the District Attorney’s office for review,” Hampton said. “The filing decision will be up to the DA.”

The Ultimate Fighter 27” competitor Tyler Diamond, who is Guida’s training partner posted a tweet which says Diaz slapped him and sucker punched by one of his “groupies.”

Guida who is slated to face Bobby Green at UFC 225 on June 9 in Chicago, has been campaigning for a rematch with Stockton slugger on social media and in the press recently. Diaz and Guida met in Octagon at UFC 94 back in 2009 with Guida winning a split decision.
