- Jon Jones reacted to Chael Sonnen’s Las Vegas hotel incident
- The former UFC champion questioned Dan Hooker and Brendan Schaub for being outspoken about his arrest
Apparently, what happens in Vegas doesn’t stay in Vegas anymore as Chael Sonnen is now facing multiple charges for allegedly assaulting a Californian couple in a hotel in ‘Sin City’. Jon Jones, who was previously arrested in the same city had some interesting things to say about the matter.
‘Bones’ comments on it
It can be recalled that Jones was arrested for domestic violence last September in Las Vegas. The story was all over the news and “Bones” is now wondering why people don’t talk about Sonnen’s case the same way they did at the time.
“Man, everyone and their mom covered my story when I was an asshole in Las Vegas, Sonnen allegedly attacks his wife, another woman along with like five men and crickets,” Jones wrote on Twitter.
Jones put “The Hangman” and “Big Brown” on the spot
In the heat of Jones’ battery case, a host of UFC personalities voiced their thoughts on the subject, including UFC lightweight Dan “The Hangman” Hooker and former UFC heavyweight Brendan “Big Brown” Schaub.
Like many, Hooker and Schaub have heavily criticized “Bones.” They even notably sided with Sonnen in December when the incident involving “The Bad Guy” was one of the hottest subjects of discussion in the sport.
Now that new details emerging about Sonnen’s case state that he allegedly battered a couple and several others, Jones hit back at Hooker and Schaub.
“@danthehangman [Dan Hooker] Brendan S. [Schaub] is this what you guys are jumping down my throat about?,” Jones wrote in a now-deleted Tweet.
Jones has been out of action for two years and while sidelined, he has been actively sounding off his thoughts on various matters on social media.
UFC featherweight contender Dan Hooker fires back at Jon Jones for his comments.
“Imagine beating up 5 people and not one of them is your wife. (JJones RN )” – Hooker posted on Twitter.
Brendan Schaub also caught wind of Jones comments and decided to take a jab.
“This is not a case of Chael hitting his wife like Jon [Jones] did. I think they dropped the charges. This is not a case of Chael Sonnen being high and wrecking his Bentley with strippers in the car. This is not the case of Chael domestic violence in any facet. And I think everyone should hold their judgement to get more details.”
