Former title contender and current ESPN analyst Chael Sonnen is facing nearly a dozen battery charges.

One witness claimed Sonnen banged on a door inside the Luxor Hotel and Casino. It’s been said that in the hallway, there was a physical encounter between Sonnen and a couple and one woman could be heard yelling for someone to call the police.
Sonnen wasn’t formally arrested but he’s still dealing with charges.

Chael Sonnen Faces 11 Battery Charges
Back in January, Chael Sonnen saw all his misdemeanor charges dropped but he was never truly out of the woods. There was always a possibility that those charges would be refiled. TMZ Sports reports that 10 of the charges refiled are misdemeanors and there is one felony battery by strangulation charge.
In the documents, officials say that Chael choked a man, punched and/or struck a female, and attacked others during the incident.
There have been plenty of rumors swirling on what caused the altercation. Sonnen has not publicly commented on the incident, likely due to wanting the legal process to play out.
