Jake Paul has reportedly accepted an offer to run it back with Nate Diaz inside the PFL Smart Cage.
Earlier this month, ‘The Problem Child’ revealed that he would be making his return to the squared circle on December 15. No opponent or venue has been announced, but speculation immediately began that the bout would be a rematch with Nate Diaz following their entertaining 10-round scrap in August. That theory was only compounded when Diaz himself posted a mock poster advertising the rematch.
We’re not sure if there is anyone out there who actually wants to see the two rematch in the squared circle, but if so, we’ve got some bad news for you. On the other hand, if you’re an MMA fan, we’ve got some exciting news for you courtesy of Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions.
“For the record: Jake Paul will not be boxing Nate Diaz again,” MVP posted on social media. “Nate Diaz and Jake Paul have received an offer from PFL MMA to rematch in MMA in the SmartCage. Jake Paul has accepted the offer.”

Jake Paul Will Return to the Boxing Ring Before a Potential MMA Bout with Nate Diaz
No additional details have been provided as of yet, but the Professional Fighter’s League has been touting his move into pay-per-view with newly signed stars like Francis Ngannou and Jake Paul set to headline. When and where that takes place is yet to be determined, but it will be interesting to see how ‘The Problem Child’ fares in mixed martial arts after years of dominating former MMA fighters in the sweet science.
But first, Paul is slated for a return to the ring in December. It will be his ninth career walk to the squared circle, amassing a solid 7-1 record. His lone loss came in February 2023 when he faced undefeated British boxing standout Tommy Fury. He followed that up with a unanimous decision win over Nate Diaz in The Lone Star State. An opponent for his end-of-the-year appearance is expected to be announced on October 27.
As for Nate Diaz, the ‘Stockton Samurai’ walked away from the UFC after 15 years with the promotion in September 2022. During his time away, Diaz has only fought against Jake Paul and if all goes according to plan, it sounds like they’ll run it back in the cage come 2024.
