If you’ve got something nasty to say about the wife of Ian Machado Garry, you better be prepared to throw hands.

‘The Future’ will return to the Octagon on Saturday, February 17 for a clash with No. 8 ranked welterweight contender Geoff Neal as part of the stacked UFC 298 main card.

After taking part in Friday night’s weigh-in ceremony inside Anaheim’s Honda Center, Garry was leaving the arena when one gutsy fan decided to make a disparaging remark about his spouse — Layla Machado Garry — sending the Irishman into a fit of rage.

“You talking sh*t about my wife? Don’t f*cking do that,” Garry warned before eventually stepping into his vehicle.

Ian Garry has been forced to defend his marriage to the 40-year-old TV personality after fighters, including Sean Strickland and Colby Covington claimed that Garry’s wife was still actively involved in a relationship with her ex-husband, Richard Cullen — who just so happens to be Garry’s nutritionist.

Garry has vehemently denied the accusations and recently clarified that the reason he took his wife’s maiden name was so that his son and Layla Machado Garry’s son, whom she had while married to Cullen, would share the same last name.

Ian Garry Looks for Win No. 14 at UFC 298

Ian Machado Garry steps back inside the cage with an unblemished 13-0 record in his mixed martial arts career, six of those victories coming under the UFC banner. In his last outing at UFC 292, Garry earned a decisive unanimous decision victory over welterweight staple Neil Magny

Garry was originally set to fight Geoff Neal at the event, but Neal withdrew. Ahead of their previously scheduled scrap, ‘The Future’ drew the ire of fans and fighters alike when he began wearing and selling t-shirts with Neal’s mugshot stemming from a 2021 screen printed on the front.
