Ian Garry has a message for the online MMA community ahead of his UFC 298 fight against Geoff Neal.

Garry and Neal will settle their feud inside the Honda Center in Anaheim, California this Saturday night. While Garry has made things personal with Neal, he’s also been on the receiving end of some flak from fans online and other fighters over his personal life. Some feel Garry can’t take the heat from others when he’s the instigator.

“The Future” has responded by letting his detractors know that he doesn’t care what they have to say.

Ian Garry Sends Message To His “Haters” Ahead Of UFC 298

During an interview with TNT Sports, Ian Garry said he wouldn’t mind shutting the lights off Geoff Neal this weekend just to make his critics even more angry.

“I don’t believe any performance that I can go out there and put on is gonna silence people,” Garry said. “They’ll always be haters. The more success you have the more haters there are. That’s just, unfortunately, the way the online community is right now and it’s ridiculous. But am I gonna use that fuel to go out there and put on a performance to maybe rile them up and piss them off a little more? Then yeah, why not? Why not get under their skin a little bit more about my hand raised? Why not go out there and body Geoff Neal and stand over his body and just look at everyone around the stadium and see people’s faces as I go out there and I just stand there and go, ‘This is what I do, this is what I do best?'”

UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping was also part of the team interviewing Garry. “The Future” had some fun with “The Count,” mentioning his videos discussing the backlash he was getting online. Ultimately, Ian Garry insists he doesn’t care what people have to say about him online.

“The truth is, the MMA community should be thankful because everybody’s videos that were posted that had my name in it got much more traction and more views, Bisping your videos included, like everyone posted about it,” Garry said. “Everyone talked about it, and the truth is I guarantee you go back and look at your videos, those videos at that time got the most views. You had people talking about me, talking out their ass, not fact checking, not doing anything. The truth is, I’m still gonna show up and do my job this time. I’m gonna get my hand raised, I’m gonna go to 14-0, and if anyone has a problem or if anyone has anything to say I couldn’t care less.”

We’ll see if Garry gets his way on fight night and continues his unbeaten run. An impressive showing against Neal would move “The Future” one step closer to facing top five competition.
