Dustin Porier will likely be going head-to-head with Michael Chandler in his next Octagon appearance if his agent is to be believed.

Before the end of 2022, Dustin Poirier is expected to fight Michael Chandler

ESPN’s Brett Okamoto reports that Poirier’s management recently gave an update on who his client will be fighting next.

He claims that it’s looking like Porier will get to settle his differences with Michael Chandler inside the Octagon once and for all. The pair had a physical altercation that went viral online recently during UFC 276.

While it’s looking like the fight will come to fruition, the UFC apparently hasn’t reached out with an official offer just yet.

Chandler himself recently suggested that he’d be fighting Poirier next during a press conference in the United Kingdom.

He suggested that fans can expect some fight news coming up soon, claiming Poirier as the likely opponent.

Porier recently had a three-fight win streak snapped by Charles Oliveira when the pair competed for the lightweight title back in December.

As for Chandler, he just snapped a losing streak, suffering back-to-back losses in the UFC, including a title bout loss to Oliveira as well, Chandler got back in the victory column with a knockout of Tony Ferguson.

The knockout happened to be one of the more vicious in recent memory, as he nailed Ferguson with a crazy front kick to the face. It was the first time Ferguson had been knocked unconscious in his career.

Both men are proven showmen inside the Octagon, willing to leave it all inside the cage when it’s all said and done. A potential clash between the pair will certainly be an enjoyable ones for the fans.
