- Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler were seen having a heated exchange at UFC 276
- Both fighters are not booked for a fight yet
The stacked UFC 276 card has already given fans a reason to get excited but top lightweight contenders Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler added more flavor into it after they engage in a heated exchange cageside.
The two had to be separated
Poirier and Chandler crossed paths at the T-Mobile arena and they made it very clear that they got no love for each other. The pair’s exchange was caught on video and was posted by Gilbert Burns. While the audio was unclear, “The Diamond” could be heard repeatedly yelling “a fake motherf*cker” and “I’ll f*ck you up” at Chandler.
On the other hand, “Iron” was also cussing back at Poirier but it was difficult to hear exactly what he was saying.
Apparently, there was no physical altercation that occurred as the two was surrounded by event security.

A fight could happen
It can be recalled that Poirier has already taken shots at Chandler in the past, stressing that “Iron” has never beaten a fighter who is coming off a victory. Partly, it was true as Chandler’s last two wins were against Tony Ferguson and Dan Hooker.
Chandler has been trying to position himself for a fight with Conor McGregor but nothing is concrete yet to this day.
Poirier, meanwhile, defeated McGregor twice his streak was cut short after losing to Charles Oliveira at UFC 269. He has accepted a fight with Nate Diaz, but revealed that the UFC has offered him a match with Colby Covington.
Neither of the 155-pound elites are slated for a fight and if their verbal exchange at UFC 276 intensify in the future, we wouldn’t be surprised if they set their sights on one another.
