- Dana White announced three main event bouts in three different divisions
- The UFC boss added Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Cody Garbrandt to UFC 300
UFC president Dana White delighted the fans once again with more fight announcements, including another addition to the much-awaited UFC 300 event.
Three upcoming headliners
White started by announcing the heavyweight showdown between Tai Tuivasa and Marcin Tybura which will headline UFC Fight Night at UFC Apex on March 16. Tuivasa will be looking to end his three-fight losing streak. On the other hand, Tybura will hope and bounce back after suffering a first-round TKO loss to Tom Aspinall.
A flyweight showdown in the women’s division is also set to happen as White announced Rose Namajunas vs. Amanda Ribas. The bout will headline UFC Fight Night at UFC Apex on March 23.
Namajunas is coming off back-to-back decision losses with the latest against Manon Fiorot at UFC Paris. Ribas. Meanwhile, will hope to secure another win in her return to flyweight after finishing Luana Pinheiro via TKO in their strawweight bout this past November.
White also announced the booking of Sean Brady vs. Vicente Luque. Both decorated welterweight contenders will go toe-to-toe to improve their status and are both coming off a huge win over big-name fighters. Brady submitted Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Austin, while Luque decisioned Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC Vegas 78.

A UFC 300 addition
At last, White revealed the newest addition to the UFC 300 card. According to the UFC boss, a bantamweight match between former champions Deiveson Figueiredo and Cody Garbrandt is now included in the event.
Figueiredo has moved up to bantamweight after losing to Brandon Moreno in their epic fourth title fight rematch. The Brazilian beat Rob Font in his 135-pound debut and will now face a fellow champ in Garbrandt.
Granbrandt will be coming in looking to complete a three-fight winning streak. His latest victim was Brian Kelleher, whom Cody finished via first-round KO at UFC 296.
The UFC has already stacked the year with massive events but it’s safe to say fans will still be hearing more updates from White soon.
