Ciryl Gane and Tai Tuivasa struck a fun shoey pose together ahead of their UFC Paris headliner.
Ciryl Gane & Tai Tuivasa Strike Shoey Pose
The pair are set to collide in the main event of UFC Paris this weekend. The action goes down from the Accor Arena in Paris, France.
However, despite the fact that the pair will go head-to-head, there seems to be no animosity between the pair whatsoever. Both men participated in a photo shoot ahead of the event in front of the Eiffel Tower.
During the shoot, Tuivasa broke the tension by going in for a fake hug. Gane laughed and then agreed to do a fake shoey pose with him to end things off. Check out the footage here:
Both Tuivasa and Gane are on a short list to contend for the heavyweight title next. Tuivasa is currently the No. 3-ranked heavyweight in the world, on a five-fight win streak. All of those victories have come via knockout.
As for Gane, he recently suffered the first loss of his professional mixed martial arts (MMA) career. He was topped by Francis Ngannou in the main event of UFC 270 back in January.
Now, if Gane is able to knock off a top up-and-coming contender in Tuivasa, he may just get right back to the front of the line for a shot at Ngannou.
As for Tuivasa, a win over an opponent the caliber of Gane, extending his win streak to six, would certainly be a huge accolade to have en-route to calling for a title shot.
