Ciryl Gane is prepping for one of the biggest fights of his life at UFC Paris.
The former UFC interim Heavyweight Champion looks to bounce back on home turf, after his first career loss to Francis Ngannou. Gane draws the always dangerous Tai Tuivasa in his upcoming main event, in the UFC’s first move to France.
‘This Guy Is Really Dangerous And I Don’t Like That’
Tuivasa throws absolute fire when he steps into the Octagon. He last knocked out Derrick Lewis in his hometown of Houston, Texas. ‘Bam Bam’ looks to do the same to Gane in his own backyard. And for that, Gane will look to pick apart the heavyweight from a safe distance.
“He is dangerous,” Gane told Middle Easy. “My reach is a little bit longer than him. I’m going to keep the distance [and use] my footwork because this guy is really dangerous and I don’t like that. So, I’m going to move and touch him and never get touched.”
Gane Wants To Take Out Tuivasa
Gane might be a point-fighter but that doesn’t mean he wants to see the distance. The Frenchman will try his best for a finish to close out the show for the fans.
“I want to finish the fight before the end because I want to do the show for the fans. I want to finish the fight before the end [with] my striking but you know already, but I can go down, I can submit. I can do everything, so we will see.”
‘No Pressure’ Fighting In Paris
Cyril Gane headlines the UFC’s first event in France. While he has a lot to live up to, ‘Bon Gamin’ says the lights will not get to him, come fight night.
“I’m not really stressing about everything around me. I was not stressed for Francis Ngannou and the story with him and the coach and everything like that. It’s going to be something new with my family and the fans [in attendance]. But I fought already in Muay Thai, face-to-face with my family.
“It’s going to be special,” Gane continued. “[I’m] just really more happy to be in Paris, this is a good vibe. More good vibes, no stress, no pressure.”
