- Bare Knuckle FC publicized its pitch for former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou
- BKFC thinks “The Predator” will be a perfect fit for the company
Bare Knuckle FC appears to be highly interested in landing recently released UFC star Francis Ngannou. The bare-knuckle fighting promotion is certain the former UFC heavyweight champion will be a great addition to its roster.
The phone is ringing, Francis
In its attempt to lure Ngannou, BKFC becomes the first combat sports promotion to publicly expressed its desire to sign “The Predator.” On Twitter, BKFC tagged Ngannou in a post which simply has a telephone emoji, a strong indication that a deal could be in the works in no time if the heavy-hitting heavyweight decides to make some phone calls.

A perfect fit
Before being officially released by the UFC, Ngannou is undoubtedly one of the biggest draws in the promotion. BKFC reportedly believes that Ngannou’s stock has remained high despite parting ways with the UFC and he makes a perfect fit for what their company brings to the table.
MMA Fighting’s Damon Martin broke the news in a recent tweet.
“BKFC is interested in pursuing Francis Ngannou. Statement from BKFC President Dave Feldman: ‘BKFC is very interested in Francis, we will certainly make a play for him. We feel like he’s a great fit for BKFC and can bring amazing attention to our company,’” Martin wrote.

Before BKFC, previous reports suggested that Ngannou appears to have already signed a contract with PFL.
The reason behind Ngannou’s abrupt departure from the UFC is still yet to be revealed, but many believe the notion that issues regarding fighter pay triggered it. Prior to being cut by the UFC, “The Predator” was heavily linked to a blockbuster title fight showdown with former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.
With Ngannou permanently out of the picture, the UFC has now booked Jon Jones vs. Ciryl Gane for the vacant heavyweight title at UFC 285.
