Bellator MMA is heading back to The Windy City for a stacked lineup on November 17.

Per a report from Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Bellator 301 will emanate from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago and will be headlined by a can’t-miss welterweight title clash as Ukraine’s Yaroslav Amosov returns to defend his crown against streaking contender Jason Jackson.

‘The A**-Kicking Machine’ has won six straight fights in the Bellator cage, including wins over Benson Henderson, Paul Daley, and Douglas Lima. Overall, Jackson is 7-1 in Bellator with his lone loss coming against Ed Ruth nearly four years ago.

As for the reigning welterweight champion, Yaroslav Amosov is yet to experience a defeat under the Bellator banner, having won eight in a row, including his world title-winning performance against Douglas Lima at Bellator 260. After taking some time away to fight for his country amidst Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Amosov returned at Bellator 291, successfully defending his title against Logan Storley via a unanimous decision.

Bellator 301 will also feature an absolutely epic co-main event as reigning bantamweight champion Sergio Pettis will put his title on the line against the Bellator Bantamweight World Grand Prix tournament winner, Patchy Mix.

Besting Juan Archuleta to capture the 135-pound title in 2021, Pettis has gone on to defend the strap twice, including a highlight-reel-worthy knockout of former champion Kyoji Horiguchi at Bellator 272. In June, ‘The Phenom’ added another notable name to his hit list when he earned a decision victory over Patricio Pitbull.

Pettis’ opponent, Patchy Mix, fought his way through a who’s who of bantamweight contenders during the division’s WGP tournament, including Kyoji Horiguchi, Magomed Magomedov, and Raufeon Stots. Those victories extended his win streak to five straight and scored him another shot at Bellator MMA gold.

Mix previously competed for the vacant bantamweight title in 2020, but came up short against Juan Archuleta in 2020. Mix has not lost a fight since then.

Rounding out the main card for Bellator 301 will be a Bellator Lightweight World Grand Prix clash between Patricky ‘Pitbull’ Freire and Alexander Shabliy and a rematch between Raufeon Stots and Danny Sabatello.
