- Kyoji Horiguchi scored a decision win over Sergio Pettis in their Rizin 47 main event bout
- Kleber Koike Erbst submitted his fellow former Rizin champion Juan Archuleta in the co-main event
Kyoji Horiguchi was able to get his revenge on Sergio Pettis at Rizin 47.
A sweet revenge
Horiguchi came out victorious over Pettis at Rizin 47 in Tokyo on Sunday. The pair squared off until the final bell but Horiguchi was declared as the winner via TKO.
The win meant a lot to Horiguchi, who suffered a bantamweight title fight loss to Pettis at Bellator. The two put on a show and exchanged shots throughout the fight. However, it was the former UFC flyweight title contender who prevailed in the end.

By mixing up his striking and wrestling, Horiguchi was able to defend his flyweight title and outpoint Pettis at the end of the fight, earning a unanimous decision victory.
Horiguchi became Rizin’s first flyweight champion following his submission win over Makoto Shinryu at Rizin 45.
Another big win at Rizin 47
In the co-main event, ormer RIZIN featherweight champion Kleber Koike Erbst tapped former Bellator and RIZIN bantamweight champion Juan Archuleta. The pair unsurprisingly took the fight to the ground courtesy of Archuleta’s takedown. However, Erbst was the one who managed to capitalize and submitted his fellow former champ with a sensational heel hook submission.
