UFC On ESPN 2 ‘Barboza vs. Gaethje’ Fight Card, Time & Results

Justin Gaethje and Brazilian contender Edson Barboza are clashing in a lightweight bout so expect fireworks; it takes place tonight (Sat., March 30, 2019) in the main headliner of UFC On ESPN 2 from inside Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Both Gathje and Barboza are known for their explosiveness and when they are inside the Octagon violence is expected. ‘The Highlight’ recently snapped his only two-fight losing skid when he scored the first round TKO win over James Vick. Before these two setbacks, former World Series of Fighting (WSOF) champion Gaethje wreaked havoc all his past opponent en route to 18 straight wins.

Barboza (26-6) meanwhile also came back on the winning column by beating Dan Hooker via third-round TKO last December.

Meanwhile, the co-main features a middleweight action between David Branch and Jack Hermansson. WSOF’s double champion Branch last suffered a second-round TKO loss against Jared Cannonier. Jack isn’t a big name inside the Octagon, but he’s making waves to get recognition and is currently riding on two straight wins.

Also, the main card features an intriguing 115-pound showdown between Polish superstar and former women’s strawweight title challenger Karolina Kowalkiewicz taking on top contender Michelle Waterson. If ‘Karate Hottie’ pull a win tonight, that will lead her to her very first UFC title shot.

There’s plenty of reasons to watch this fight card so stay tuned to watch the early preliminary card which begins at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN + which is followed by the rest of the ‘Preliminary’ bouts on ESPN starting at 5 p.m ET, and then the main card begins at 7 p.m. ET, also on ESPN.
