MMA often leads itself to crappy or hyperbole-laced headlines. That is just the sort of testosterone-fueled sport that MMA is. You go anywhere on the internet and you’ll see eye-catching headlines about scandals, drama and outlandish quotes with a photo of Dana White at a podium looking exasperated. This story is none of those things.
This story is everything awesome about MMA and it is a video of Andrei Arlovski and his dog, Maximus. Our bud EKC documented Andrei with his dog and we get to hear Andrei gush for three minutes about his best friend in the whole world who has been with him through thick and thin. Arlovski always brings Maximus with him to the gym and it’s pretty much the cutest thing ever to see Maximus hanging around the gym with all of these big dudes just chilling, waiting for Andrei to be done working out so he can be pet.
Hell, Maximus even trips Jon Jones at one point, which raises his street cred. Maximus is, of course, a pit bull, which get a bad reputation, but it’s usually the fault of the owner, not the dog. Pit bulls are probably the most affectionate dogs in the world. That is just a FYI, because we don’t tolerate hating on dogs, alright?
