At UFC Vegas 63, former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski made his 39th walk to the Octagon. Gunning for his 35th career win, ‘The Pitbull’ stepped inside the cage on Saturday night against another tenured UFC heavyweight in Marcos Rogerio de Lima. Coming off a loss to Blagoy Ivanov in May, de Lima will be looking to stop the streaking UFC legend Arlovski who has won four in a row dating back to April 2021.
Round 1
Both fighters came out and immediately traded leg kicks. Arlovski threw a right hook and de Lima responded with a combination that puts Arlovski to the canvas. De Lima jumps on top, controlling Arlovski near the fence. Arlovski begins to turn onto his side to avoid strikes and de Lima threatens a rear-naked choke. Inching his arm under the chin of Arlovski, de Lima cranks on the choke and gets the tap out from Arlovski in less than a minute.
