Michael Bisping is not pleased with how Floyd Mayweather acted in his recent encounter with Jake Paul in Miami. But on the other hand, “The Count” also pointed out that running away from a fight should be the last thing a fighter would ever do.
Act like a grown-up
Speaking on Bisping and Smith’s BYM podcast, Bisping indicated that before people say anything about the matter, it was never right for a man in Mayweather’s age to surround himself with “thugs” and threaten somebody like that.
“Floyd Mayweather is a p*ssy for doing that… first and foremost all the blame is on Floyd Mayweather. Get your sh*t together. I think he’s 44 as well at 46, what are you doing running around with a bunch of thugs doing that. I’m assuming that is trying to angle for that fight… He sees Jake Paul’s possibly getting a lot of attention, remember Jake Paul snatched the cap off him but Logan and Floyd fought… So, he’s getting revenge for that but you know, surrounding him with that amount of people… Floyd’s an a**hole for that,” the former UFC middleweight champion explained.

Though Bisping emphasized that he sides with Paul, he also noted that it’s very unbecoming of a fighter to sprint like that in a confrontation even though it’s the right thing to do.
“But, there’s a big but though… I am all on Jake’s side but… you can’t run away! you can’t turn. Listen, and I’m not saying I’m a real tough guy right. I’m not saying I’m the baddest man on the planet, I’m saying that the cloth that I’m cut from, my DNA, every fiber of my being will not allow me to literally turn and run away and by the way, that’s the smart thing to do. That is the thing that my mother always told me to do,” Bisping added.
This wasn’t the first time Paul and Mayweather crossed paths. It can be recalled that the YouTuber infamously snatched the boxing legend’s hat during an intense face-off in public.
Paul used to be interested in taking on Mayweather but “Money” thinks “The Problem Child” only wants it because he was already near 50 years old. However, Mayweather agreed to face Jake’s older brother Logan in an exhibition fight in 2021.
