Jake Paul is claiming that he was jumped by Floyd Mayweather in Miami.

Jake Paul is one of the newest big stars in the sport of boxing. He came at a time when many thought boxing was a dying sport. He brought a new, unconventional way of marketing fights and now is one of the most known athletes in boxing. Paul has made many enemies along the way, with his call-outs and targeting retired or aging fighters he has rubbed some people the wrong way. He has previously started a beef with Floyd Mayweather and now that animosity almost came to a boil on the streets of Miami.

Paul was leaving a game in Miami on Wednesday night when according to him, he was confronted by a large group of people, headed up by Mayweather. The altercation was caught on video and shared by TMZ Sports.

Jake Paul explains why he ran away from Floyd Mayweather and his team

In the video, Mayweather is shown calling out to Paul with a group of people on his side. The two are being separated by what looks like security when Paul turns and runs away. Members of Mayweather’s group start to yell at him and began accusing him of being afraid. Paul took to his Instgram story after the incident to explain why he ran away.

“I am leaving the Miami Heat game and Floyd Mayweather and 50 dudes pull up out of nowhere out of some side alley waiting for me outside of this stadium. And they’re like, so what’s all that talk now? I’m like, first of all, what did I say to you, Floyd? I just took your hat and you’re still mad about it. Come on, bro,” he said. “And then 50 dudes literally start surrounding me to try and jump me, I’m out that b-tch, okay. Do you want to run it one-on-one? No problem. I’m not dumb. Okay? I’m tough. I don’t need to prove my toughness, but I’m not f–king dumb. I’m not gonna sit there and try to fight 50 dudes, get out of that b-tch. Floyd, you’re a hoe bro, you’re mad because I took your f–king hat. Are you serious? Get over it, bro. Move on. Move on.”

Paul is referring to an incident back in May of 2021 when Paul walked up to Mayweather outside of the Hard Rock Stadium where a press conference was to be held. Paul got into Mayweather’s face outside the venue and stole his hat from his head. The two got into a brawl while being held back by security. Now, this feud seems to be rekindled and perhaps might be headed to the ring. Paul has offered to fight him one-on-one. Since retiring from boxing, Mayweather has participated in many exhibition bouts, including against Jake’s brother Logan.
