- Thor Bjornsson and Eddie Hall nearly fought each other ahead of their boxing match
- Hall wrote Bjornsson a sarcastic good luck message
Thor Bjornsson and Eddie Hall just couldn’t wait until they face each other inside the ring on March 19th at the the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium in United Arab Emirates. Things have been heating up between the two former World’s Strongest Men leading up to the fight and finally almost came to blows during a confrontation in a boxing gym.
As expected, the pair spewed a lot of cursing and insults. Hall ended up challenging Bjornsson to take it outside but their teams managed to appease the situation.
They also spat on each other
Speaking to his followers on YouTube after the commotion, Bjornsson revealed that Hall spat on him at one point. He then retaliated and spat back at his opponent.
“Things got pretty heated, insults were thrown and it ended with Eddie being dragged out of the building severely injuring someone involved, whilst trying to spit on me,” Bjornsson said. “I did spit back, not my finest moment, but the adrenaline was cranked and I was shocked that he would do something so disgusting.”
Hall left a letter
Hall appeared to be not done yet. He continued where he left off in his trash-talking by writing Bjornsson a letter in a white board.
“To Thor/ Numbnuts. Just wanted to wish you all the best and look forward to smashing your face in/ correcting your face on Saturday,” Hall wrote. “Keep dribbling. Tell your yes men they are doing a great job of fooling you into believing you’re any good and gargling your man muck. Big love your old double dipping friend. Beast.”
Bjornsson’s mother got involved
Prior to the altercation in the gym, Hall and Bjornsson already had a heated exchange in an earlier press conference. Although there was some trash-talking every now and then, the pair remained calm for the most part. However, things took a huge turn when Hall mentioned Bjornsson’s mother, who was in attendance as well.
Bjornsson’s then mother started shouting at Hall from across the venue. Hall, who had his son with him as well, responded and told his rival to shut his mother up.
“My son doesn’t care,” Hall said via Fitness Volt. “He thinks you’re a fu**ing knob head. Quiet your mom down as well.”
“Let’s f**king go right now,” Hall said.
“Let’s step up and do it. You want to go now? Because I don’t give a f**k about the money.”
“Don’t ever f**king talk about my mother, you f**king a*******,” Thor yelled.
2018 World’s Strongest man Hafthor Bjornsson weighs in (335lbs), while 2017 WSM Eddie Hall came in at (313.5lbs) ahead of Saturday’s boxing match.
