September 30, Lille, France — The 2023 Sheru Classic France Pro witnessed an exhilarating showdown as four champions, from various divisions, claimed their titles. Nathan De Asha took the spotlight in the Men’s Open, while Maxime Yedess, Emile Walker, and Kristina Brunaeur triumphed in the Classic Physique, Men’s Physique, and Bikini categories respectively.
The anticipation leading up to this event had been intense, with Lille becoming the stage for athletes aiming for the coveted spots in the 2023 Mr. Olympia competition scheduled for November 2-5 in Orlando, Florida. This season’s competition circuit has been particularly challenging for participants, as there are fewer months available for qualification and the previous point system has been eliminated. Now, competitors must clinch a win at a Pro event to get their shot at Olympia.
Given the stakes, the atmosphere in Lille was palpable. Athletes from three men’s and one women’s division showcased their finely honed and conditioned physiques, all vying for a chance to compete in the world-renowned Olympia contest. The clock is ticking, with the qualification deadline looming on October 9. This weekend’s Sheru Classic in France was undoubtedly a significant step for many in their professional bodybuilding journey.
