Michal Krizanek has emerged triumphant, clinching the Men’s Bodybuilding Title at the highly anticipated 2023 Empro Classic Pro. This remarkable bodybuilding event, which took place from June 16-18 in Alicante, Spain, showcased six divisions, including Men’s Open, Classic Physique, Figure, Bikini, Women’s Physique, and Wellness. The Empro Classic Pro served as a crucial qualifying event for this year’s Mr. Olympia competition, further heightening its significance.
Unlike previous years, athletes had fewer opportunities and months to secure their spots in the year’s biggest bodybuilding show, the 2023 Mr. Olympia, scheduled to be held from November 2-5 in Orlando, Florida. The event will encompass ten divisions and dominate the Orange County Convention Center, culminating in the crowning of new champions.
A notable change in this year’s Empro Classic Pro was the inclusion of the Men’s Open class. The victorious bodybuilder not only walked away with a cash prize but also earned the privilege to compete against the reigning Mr. Olympia, Hadi Choopan, in the November showdown.
Among the frontrunners at the Spanish event, Michal Krizanek commanded attention. Having secured an impressive 12th place in his Olympia debut in 2022, Krizanek aimed to make a strong start to his 2023 season with this contest.
Also present at the event was Andrea Presti, who participated in the 2022 Olympia but failed to break into the top 15. Presti’s previous triumph at the 2022 Big Evolution Pro show added to the intrigue surrounding his performance in this early-season competition.
Emir Omeragic, another contender, sought to earn his coveted Olympia invitation. With a notable third-place finish at the 2023 Arnold Classic South America, Omeragic showcased his promising potential and posed a threat to his fellow competitors.
With Michal Krizanek’s well-deserved victory, he etches his name in the annals of bodybuilding, securing a place in the 2023 Olympia and igniting further anticipation for the ultimate showcase of strength, physique, and determination.
