After a four-year hiatus, undefeated Tatiana Suarez marked her return to action against Montana De La Rosa on the main card of UFC Vegas 70.

Round 1

De La Rosa tries to strike first with a 1-2. Suarez with a kick to the body. They get in the clinch and Montana does well to avoid takedowns. Suarez gets her pinned to the cage. They go down to the mat and Suarez gets on top. Montana gets her in full guard and pulls her closer to minimize the damage from strikes. Montana gets her back to the cage in an attempt to get up. Suarez keeps the body lock and is wrapping Montana’s legs. Montana rolled around and Suarez gets her back. Montana gets up but Suarez is on top of her back. Montana fights her way back to the feet. Suarez holds onto the single leg attempt to avoid the underhook. They continue grappling. They trade knee strikes. Suarez is trying to take her down with a single leg. She gets her hands locked around her.

Round 2

Suarez opens with a kick. She follows up with another and eats a kick straight down the middle from Montana. Suarez goes to grapple. She holds onto her in the clinch and gets a takedown with a head and arm throw. Suarez takes side control. Suarez lays down elbow strikes. Suarez goes for a sub attempt and Montana finds her way out. She explodes her way back to the floor. Suarez tries to keep her down but Montana pushes her back. Suarez jumps onto the guillotine. Montana goes down and Suarez has the choke locked in still.

Official Result: Tatiana Suarez defeats Montana De La Rosa by guillotine choke submission (R2, 2:51).
