Jairzinho Rozenstruik believes he’s a step up for Jailton Almeida and that he could handily dispatch the latter inside the octagon.
Top-ten-ranked UFC heavyweight contender Jairzinho Rozenstruik is coming off an outing with Chris Daukaus at UFC 282 last December. He scored a quick sub-30-second knockout victory over Daukaus to get back in the winning column after dropping two in a row. He is scheduled to compete with rising prospect Jailton Almeida in the headlining bout of UFC on ABC 4 next month. Currently, on a 13-fight win streak, Almeida enters the contest with a ton of hype behind him. He maintains a 100 percent finishing rate with all 18 wins coming by either submission or KO/TKO.
Jairzinho Rozenstruik believes he’s a big test for Jailton Almeida
In an exclusive interview with Middle Easy, Jairzinho Rozenstruik shared his thoughts on the upcoming matchup with Almeida.
“We have two different styles but we’re going to leave that for May 13th,” said Rozenstruik. “It’s definitely going to be a good one. I think if you’re finishing guys it’s something big, it’s promising. But now you got to face me. I’m a different type of guy than all the guys he faced. I think this is a big test for him.”
Rozenstruik targets a finish against Almeida
‘Bigi Boy’ believes his opponent might be in for a rude awakening as he intends to get another finish.
“I got nothing to show him but put him away and make sure I’m looking forward. I heard some of his interviews or the things he said. He thinks it’s going to kind of be easy and I don’t know about that but I’m training hard and I’ll be ready. I can’t wait to make it happen.”
Jairzinho Rozenstruik will clash with Jailton Almeida in the main event of UFC on ABC 4 on May 13 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
