Mike Perry and Eddie Alvarez are ready for war.
On Saturday, December 2, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship will showcase one of their biggest events of the year inside the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
In the main event, former UFC fighters Mike Perry and Eddie Alvarez will go toe-to-toe, with the winner being crowned “The King of Violence.”
Earlier today, the top fighters of BKFC 56 met for a press conference followed by a faceoff with their opponents. After a slight back and forth on the microphone, Perry and Alvarez came face-to-face for an intense staredown that nearly escalated into a physical altercation.
Watch the faceoff for the BKFC 56 main event below:
Mike Perry parted ways with the UFC following a unanimous decision loss against Daniel Rodriguez in April 2021. Since then, he’s become the face of bare-knuckle boxing by securing wins against Julian Lane, Michael ‘Venum’ Page, and Luke Rockhold.
Meanwhile, Eddie Alvarez decided to leave ONE Championship in 2022. After accomplishing plenty throughout his career, Alvarez wanted to try something new, leading to him signing with BKFC.
On April 29, ‘The Underground King’ made a statement by winning his promotional debut against Chad Mendes. The 39-year-old now looks to add another accomplishment to his impressive career by taking out Perry on Saturday night.
Who else is fighting at BKFC 56 besides Mike Perry and Eddie Alvarez?
The BKFC 56 co-main event was initially supposed to feature Ben Rothwell vs. Todd Duffee. Unfortunately, Rothwell became sick during fight week, leading to him pulling out and postponing the heavyweight clash until February.
As a result, the new co-main event for Saturday could be Christine Ferea defending her women’s 125-pound title against Bec Rawlings. Ferea vs. Rawlings is a rematch from their bout in March, where ‘Misfit’ won by a second-round TKO due to a doctor stoppage.
BKFC 56 will also feature two more title fights. Firstly, Kai Stewart looks to defend his featherweight title against Howard Davis, who is riding a three-fight knockout streak. Stewart became the champion in June with a unanimous decision win against Louie Lopez.
The final title fight of the night is for the vacant heavyweight throne. Former champion Arnold Adams will face Mick Terell, who is coming off back-to-back wins inside the distance. Adams last fought in February when he was dethroned of his title by Arnold Adams.
Last but not least, former UFC fighters Jimmie Rivera and Jeremy Stephens will meet for a non-title fight. Anyone who has followed these warriors’ careers knows that a war is going to break out between them inside the Maverik Center.
