Mike Perry and Eddie Alvarez already let BKFC fans know that they are in for a wild showdown as they ended up engaging in a verbal war in a recent interview. Perry and Alvarez will take on each other to headline BKFC 56.

An epic exchange

Speaking to MMA Junkie, Perry and Alvarez had the chance to talk trash to one another. The former UFC lightweight champion slighted “Platinum” and said that Perry would end up questioning himself come fight night.

“You’re gonna have a lot to deal with,” Alvarez told Perry. “It’s gonna be something different than you’ve ever felt. You might question yourself inside of the fight.”

Perry quickly hit back and claimed that Alvarez would be an “easy work” for him.

“I’m about to beat the sh*t out of you. Easy work, no problem. You’re right, it’s gonna be different… different in the fact that it’s the easiest one ever, and I’m just gonna shut you down.”

Eddie sees holes in Mike’s game

Alvarez refuted Perry’s take and pointed out that he had already studied “Platinum’s” game. In fact, “The Underground King” threatened that he will be focused on exposing the “holes” in Perry’s game.

“He’s gonna be tough… the guy takes shots and keeps coming… So I’m never gonna call Mike easy work. I think that was silly of him to ever call me easy work but we’ll see may maybe that’s how he truly feels considering his training regimen and who he’s going against and whatever but I don’t think he’s gonna be easy work I do see holes in his game. I see things I can exploit and so do my coaches,” Alvarez said.

“This could go a whole lot of different ways but I’m not, by any means, looking forward to an easy night. I don’t expect any of this sh*t,” he added.

Perry will be looking to extend his stellar BKFC streak, having gone undefeated in three straight fights. He is coming off a victory over Luke Rockhold at BKFC 41. On the other hand, Alvarez had a successful BKFC debut after he edged out Chad Mendes in the same event. Alvarez will try and secure his second win under the BKFC banner against the No. 1-ranked middleweight in the promotion.

BKFC 56 will take place on December 2 at the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City.
