Just when you thought combat sports couldn’t get any weirder, it has.
Welcome To Phone Booth Fighting
The fight game is always evolving, so much so that fighters aren’t even competing in the Octagon or the ring anymore. It may be unorthodox but it turns out a small phone booth does the trick for a fight as well.
Phone booth fighting would make its sophomore appearance at ‘Punch Box 2’ this last week. The event would have opponents Ivan Chugunov and Pavel Molchanov face off against each the small space. As expected, the fight would turn out to be actual fireworks. But, it didn’t last too long.
Chugunov and Molchanov would slug it out, going back-and-forth with punches to begin the fight. Very early into the brawl, Chugunov would catch Molchanov with a good strike that probably would have sat him down if it weren’t for the walls of the phone booth.
Chugunov would tee off, unloading a ferocious combo of punches onto Molchanov. After 15 seconds of strikes, the officials had seen enough, Molchanov had been mauled in there. The fight would be stopped with Chugunov getting his hand raised.
